Getting ready for better, sunnier days

On Thursday 5th August (the day all of Newy went into lockdown), we received a stack load of boxes from Annabel Trends with all new, summery stock - with all this warm, springy weather we have been having lately, it feels like summer has come early. We may be spending more time inside now but at least we can look forward to days out in the sun.

Annabel Trends have come out with a new design this year for their summer collection called Sand Hills, which is by Bundjalung woman, Holly Sanders who is from the North Coast in NSW. The artwork is inspired by sand hills and Country and the strong connection between ocean and land. Her use of warm colours are reminiscent of the sand, ochre and colours of the Country.  

“I always look to Country – the land, the sky and the sea – and use these images, stories and memories to paint. I use my art to tell the story of my Country and ancestors because I want to be able to share and celebrate my culture in a contemporary way with everyone.”

A beautiful collection that we feel very lucky to carry instore and online.

Annabel Trends released new colours in their classic wine tumblers, sparkling flutes, wine bottles and smoothie cups. There are four new colours available - pink, purple, peach and mint (the colours were inspired by Gelato, yum!) We also were able to get in their classic metallics in again. Treat yourself to one and treat your friends to one too - just imagine you and all your friends having a picnic at the park, drinking your chilled spritz in the sun with matching cups. Nothing more iconic.
